One question we are asked all the time reflects the requirements for the application or database server to host LAWTRAC.

Here are the recomendations:

  • Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon® processor

  • Microsoft® Windows Server® 2003 with Service Pack 1 or 2  or Windows Server 2003 R2 (Web, Standard, or Enterprise Edition); Windows Server® 2008 (Web, Standard, or Enterprise Edition) with Service Pack 2 or Windows Server® 2008 R2 (Web, Standard, or Enterprise Edition);

  • 512MB of RAM (4GB recommended)

  • 500MB of available hard-disk space

Update 3.3 Will Include New Site Menu
The next scheduled update of the LAWTRAC Application will include an update to the top site menu. This new menu will require less space and is easy to use.

The "Home" and "My LAWTRAC" links do not have any subordinate options. Both will take you to the home screen of the application and to your My LAWTRAC application information screen.

The first selection that has drop-downs is the My Matters option. The options include links to your My Trends, My Dashboard and the Routing Slips screens.

The next item with drop-down functions is "My Daily". This is the screen that reflects the morning report that is emailed to your inbox. The options are "Upcoming Events", "Today's Events" and "Reminders". So this drop-down option primarily points to screens which are date driven.

People is the next option. From here you can also reach the "Firms", "Vendors", "Key Personnel", "Parties" and "Entities" screens if you have permissions to view them. So this is really the option that points to collaboration items.

The last option with sub-menu items reflects messages. If you have any unread messages the green dot icon will appear. The sub menu items will take you to the other messaging screens.

The advantage to this new menu system is the ability to go directly to the screens you need without having to go through a superior screen first.
