![]() It has been a challenge working with companies who reassign IP addresses to browsers after a period of inactivity.
What would happen is the user, because their IP address was changed, would be logged out of the application. This valuable security check safeguards against IP spoofing and session hijacking and must be a part of the core application security protocols. While this new switch will address this specific item, the other security measures are still in place. If users are reporting that they are getting logged out for no reason engage the Skip IP Address Check switch (turn it on). Contact your IT dept and see if they can't issue the Legal Department users a static IP address. Once this is done turn the switch back off. This new switch will be in the 3.3 LAWTRAC update.
